V. Megan Hagerty, M.A., PCCI, IMF
V. Megan Hagerty, MA, PCCI, IMF, goes by Megan. She is both a a Professional Clinical Counseling Intern (PCCI2395), and a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (IMF88996).
Megan comes from a strength-based and mindfulness approach, and provides a full spectrum of psychotherapy services at TheraThrive–for children, teens, adults, couples, families, and groups. In addition, Megan also provides co-parenting, individual assessments, school observations, and report writing.
Megan joined TheraThrive because of her special interest in working with gifted and highly sensitive people of all ages. Megan’s clinical interests also include gender and sexuality, where she focuses on identity formation.
Megan is a thoughtful, kind, warm-hearted therapist who is truly real with her clients. She understands intensity and complicated situations, and is non-judgmental in her approach.
Megan holds a Master of Arts degree in Counseling, with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy as well as professional clinical counseling. Megan has decided to obtain two licenses in California, a Marriage and Family Therapy license and the nationally recognized Professional Clinical Counseling license.
Megan is considered a MFT Intern and PCC Intern, and is close to obtaining over 3,000 hours of clinical experience. Megan works under the direct supervision of Dr. Grace Malonai (Ph.D., LPCC252).

Megan’s Education and Experience
Megan earned her M.A. in Counseling at Saint Mary’s College of California and graduated with honors.
In addition to being a therapist at TheraThrive, Megan also works part-time at Rainbow Community Center, which is a local community mental health clinic. At Rainbow Community Center, Megan sees adults, teens, and families who identify with the LGBTQI+ community.
